Orquestra Contemporânea De Olinda
Orquestra Contemporanea de Olinda (OCO) is a happy collision between the blazing brass carnival sounds of a traditional frevo marching band and the driving post-manguebeat all-stylings of the contemporary Pernambuco scene. It was conceived by percussionist Gilu in 2008, bringing together a team of experienced players from a number of well-known bands with alumni of Olinda's famous Henrique Dias Music Academy, directed by Maestro Ivan do Espirito Santo.
